 Welcome to Powdersnow Jack Russells - Fully Licenced ,Vet and Council inspected  5 STAR ***** - highest welfare standards home breeders.

We are Home to International KC registered Jack Russells in Somerset England, Our dogs have been chosen for health, temperament and breed standard. We have Rough, Broken and Smooth They come from some of the best International show lines in the world and boast  impressive pedigrees full of Champions. All our dogs apart from our one working girl are FCI/KC or KC registered they are also all fully health tested and are CLEAR of SCA, LOA and PLL prior to breeding. This is published on their KC records.

Our lines come from very respected Breeders such as Jacksbok, Iz Imperii Jamper, Lovely Orange and Nimbletail. No expense was spared getting them here to Somerset and we are  delighted to have been trusted with their care and to  have them here living with us. The parents and ancestors of our dogs are some of the most respected  show winning Jack Russells from around the world. We also have two  beautiful traditional English working JRT who enjoy a bit of rodent control around the small holding!

Our dogs all live in our country home with us - they are allowed on the sofas and crash out with us in front of the TV. We do not use Kennels as we believe our dogs benefit from living alongside us. We are lucky enough to have a large country home surrounded by 4 acres of our own land which is  fenced so that it is Terrier proof.  We are also home to 2  dartmoor hill ponies a Trio of Rare Valais Black Neck Goats, Our Ragdoll and exotic cats,  2 Great Danes our Labs and a couple of mini schnauzers! We are voluntarily 5 star Highest welfare standards licensed which means that we are both council and vet inspected.

We keep full and accurate records for vaccinations, worming and breeding and the health and welfare of our dogs is of the highest importance to us.

To stop the risk of infection and protect our lines we ONLY offer Outside stud services by prior arrangement although we may consider AI as an option to suitable health tested bitches by arrangement.

We do not breed any of our girls before their 3 season or  2 years old and we retire them to continue life as pets after two litters usually - with a maximum of three in their lifetime if they are a bitch that is fit and healthy and most importantly who enjoys motherhood. Any girl who does not enjoy or has difficulty being a mother we also retire regardless. Quality of life  for our dogs is very important to us not the amount of puppies produced.

 

Our boys also are pets first so are not overused for stud. Their pedigrees speak for themselves.

Powdersnow is not a commercial kennel - we have a few litters a year but sometimes  if other things are happening in our life - family occasions, our holiday cottages, renovation projects  or just wanting to give the dogs a break then ther will be periods of no puppies available. We do operate a waiting list but your first choice can not always be guaranteed as the girls are not machines and we will have no idea of what is available until they arrive here safely with us- this is explained in the Puppies section. We DO NOT take deposits until puppies have been viewed and new owners have been met.
